LIFE abundantly

by | April 9, 2010

I was home for Easter. It was really good to see the family and spend some time with them before heading back up to Northwoods. While I was there, I enjoyed the beautiful weather and the budding and blossoming of Spring. I have always enjoyed this season of new life and growth very much. It was fitting that I read John 10:9-10 one afternoon while home. This passage really touched my heart with new meaning like it never has before.

I AM the door: by Me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture…I AM come that they might have LIFE, and that they might have it more abundantly. I AM the Good Shepherd: the Good Shepherd giveth His life for the sheep.

He came to give us life…and not just life, but life abundantly. Abundantly is the Greek word “perissos,” which means superabundant or beyond, the preeminence. Because of Jesus and what He did for us, we can experience the abundant life.

I took these shots around the headquarters campus. They inspired me…and I hope they will do the same for you.
