A Saturday Together

Both Erin and I love the great outdoors. Being out in God’s creation is peaceful and yet so exhilarating at the same time! Even in the so called “ordinary” or “simple” things of life, we can still be amazed by and learn something new from, if we would but take the time to do so.
Erin and I enjoyed spending time at a little park nearby. This winter has been a cold one here in Tennessee (it’s been reminding me of Indiana and Michigan lately, LOL.. =), but this afternoon proved to be pleasantly warm. It reminded me of spring!
These past few weeks have been very full for both of us and we needed the time to just talk and share about the different things on our heart…work, school, running errands, and the different day-to-day things that come up can often become overwhelming and always compete with the greater priorities in life. Every day that passes, time is becoming more and more precious to me…especially when it’s time spent with my Sweetheart. I am realizing that our time together is something I must, in a sense, fight for. There are so many things that are crying out
for my attention, but I know that most of those things are insignificant in comparison with my relationship with Erin.
I know that I say this often…maybe even in every post, but God is so good to us! We are truly blessed beyond measure! I love how David, in Psalm 8:3-4, is amazed at why God would care for someone like him!

“When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?”
God made all these amazing things around us and yet He cares for each of us individually! I can’t help but simply be amazed at all that God has done and all that He continues to do! Be blessed in knowing that God cares for YOU!
